ACTIVITIES OF SENATE LEADERS



· In the morning of April 03, 2002, President of the Senate Chea Sim granted a courtesy call to Dr. Dieter Ulrich Karpen, professor of Hamburg University of the Republic of German Federation and the chairman of the European and German legislative Association and H.E Chatchawed Chartsuwan, newly appointed Thai Ambassador in the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Senate.
·In the morning of April 10, 2002, President of the Senate Samdech Chea Sim granted a courtesy call to H.E Atal Bihari Vajpyee, Prime Minister of the Republic of India.
The meeting is to focus on strengthening and expansion of good cooperation between the two countries and legislative bodies. The Indian Prime Minister invited President of the Senate to pay in a near future an official and friendship visit to India.



 

 

 

·In the morning of April 28, 2002, President of the Senate Samdech Chea Sim chaired a ceremony to inaugurate a Big monks’ Residence at Kampong Phnom Pagoda in Kampong Phnom commune, Leuk Dek district, Kandal province.

·In the morning of April 29, 2002, President of the Senate Samdech Chea Sim presided over an official ceremony to provide decorations to the Senate Leaders and Members at the Senate.



·On April 10, 2002, First Vice President of the Senate Sdech Krum Khun SISOWATH Chivanmonirak chaired an inauguration ceremony of achievements at Projum Vong Pagoda in Sangkat Nirat, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

·On April 15-26, 2002, First Vice President of the Senate Sdech Krum Khun SISOWATH Chivanmonirak led Cambodian parliamentary delegation to join a meeting of the Association of Asian Parliament for Peace (AAPP) and paid an official and friendship visit in the People’s Public of China.
