Activities OF SENATE LEADERS

             

l On October 04-05, 2002, Samdech Chea Sim, Acting Head of State of the kingdom of Cambodia and his wife attended Pchum Ben Festival ceremonies at Wat Champus Kaek in the Kean Svay district of Kandal and Wat Ounalom in Phmon Penh.

l On the morning of October 17, 2002, Samdech Chea Sim, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia granted an audience to Dr. Hafiz A. Pasha, assistant to the UN Secretary General in charge of Asia-Pacific affairs and Martin Lavoie, a senior expert in parliamentary affairs of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).



l On the afternoon of October 22, 2002, Samdech  Chea Sim, President of the Senate and his wife initiated a traditional religious ceremony known as Kathen to raise money for Wat Tikhak Panhor in Dang Khor district of Phnom Penh.


 

l On the morning of October 21, 2002, Sdech Krom Khun SISOWATH Chivan Monirak, First Vice President of the Senate granted an interview to an Indonesian delegation, led by Tjipta Lesmana, on the concept of national reconciliation.
